Business Development Executive

Rainbow Recruitment Services are recruiting a Business Development / Account Executive on behalf of their client, the UK’s leading specialist packaging and delivery provider, based in Hove (East Sussex).

 

You will be joining a logistics franchise that specialise in providing bespoke solutions for the safe packing and secure delivery of valuable, fragile and oversized items, from fine art & antiques to personal and business goods.

 

Working from their Brighton & Hove office, you will be joining a small, close-knit team, and will play a lead role in driving sales, building relationships, and supporting day-to-day office activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Business Development & Sales

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, particularly within target sectors (art galleries, auction houses, antique dealers, private collectors and SME’s).

  • Generate leads through calls, email marketing and networking.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with B2B, B2C clients.

  • Provide quotations and follow-up to convert inquiries into confirmed orders.

  • Meet agreed sales targets and KPI’s.

  • Record and maintain accurate records of sales and client interactions.

 

Account Management & Office Duties

  • Provide tailored, bespoke advice and solutions on packing, insurance and shipping inquiries.

  • Monitor goods in transit, update customers, and resolve any issues proactively.

  • Support office administration, as part of a small team.

 

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Sales, Business Development, ideally within a customer facing role.

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • IT literacy - the role will involve working with Microsoft office, and a CRM.

  • This role will involve periods of working alone in a quiet office environment. You must therefore be able to manage workloads effectively without supervision.

  • Interest in logistics, shipping, or art/antiques markets would be an advantage.

 

The Package:

  • A competitive starting salary between £28,000 to £30,000, PLUS a commission structure.
