Rainbow Recruitment Services are recruiting for a Forklift Warehouse Operative to join their client, an established sweet and savoury bakery in Burgess Hill (West Sussex).

You will be primarily responsible for the safe handling, movement and storage of raw materials with the use of a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.

Duties include:

• Quality & quantity checking of deliveries against relevant paperwork

• Supply production and packing departments in a timely manner with their raw material/packaging requirements

• Ensure that you follow company and departmental procedures, including quality, H&S, food safety and general company rules. Addressing any non-compliance issues directly with your Team Leader or Purchasing Manager if appropriate

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and “Goods inwards” database in accordance with department processes

• Ensure the warehouse and surrounding work areas maintain a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping and comply with Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP)

 

Requirements:

• Counterbalance Forklift Licence

• UK Drivers Licence

• Good levels of numeracy & literacy

• IT / Computer literacy (Microsoft word / Excel)

• Good communicator with a can-do attitude

• Attention to detail

 

Monday to Friday, 6am-3:30pm / 7am-4:30pm.

This is a full time, permanent position, available for immediate start.

Salary: £27,000 per year
