Rainbow Recruitment Services are recruiting on behalf of their client, a busy sweet & savoury bakery in Burgess Hill (West Sussex), for Bakery / Food Production Operatives.

You will ideally have experience in a similar food production or bakery role, however training will provided.

​

Duties include:

• Assisting an experienced baker in preparing ingredients - decanting and weighing out against set recipes, with use of power lifts

• Scaling out to the correct weight product into trays or cases

• Preparing products for finishing

• Finishing & applying toppings to products

• Maintaining good hygiene standards at all times

 

For those with experience, duties will also include:

• Following set recipes and making various types of large-batch bakery products using the mixing bowls

• Creating cookies, tarts and muffins using specific process equipment

• Baking a range of products to the correct temperatures and times

• Assisting with the finishing of tarts, round cakes, and various toppings

The role will include aspects of heavy lifting, and can be fast paced, therefore you must be physically fit.

You will be a good team player, and have a good temperament for a busy work place.

 

Working hours: Positions are available on a full time, permanent basis across the following shifts, Monday to Friday: 830am-5pm / 930am - 6pm/ 10am-630pm / 1030am - 7pm

Salary range: £22,320 rising to £27,000 dependant on relevant food production/bakery experience.
