Rainbow Recruitment Services are recruiting for a Quality Engineer, on behalf of their client, a specialist, international, manufacturing and supply chain management company based in Worthing, West Sussex.

 

As the Quality Engineer, you will provide quality engineering support to the business within its ISO framework.

This includes supporting the company in its compliance requests, and the Goods Inward department with inspecting products and supplier issues.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To ensure the highest standards of integrity, reliability, availability, efficiency and security in operational business systems of the business and to ensure that the appropriate levels of corporate governance are adhered to.

  • To support the Quality & Facilities Manager in the management of all quality systems in the UK and overseas.

  • Work to meet the obligations in supporting our customers achieve global compliance in areas such as conflict minerals, export compliance and CCC/CE component approval

  • Deploy best practice in order to exceed all applicable legislation that effects the business

  • Liaising with the accounts team to manage supplier / customer quality requests

  • To perform duties, as required relating to the overall management of the quality systems, processes and equipment which generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility

 

KNOWLEDGE, PERSONAL COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 -5 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing role

  • Experience of working to stringent audited ISO quality standard

  • Ability to work on own initiative and have a pro-active strategic approach to challenges

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to influence individuals and teams to achieve desired goals and objectives

  • Conversant and competent with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Effective team player

  • Flexible approach and willing to address wider issues as necessary

  • Ability to take a systematic approach to daily operations and be systems focused

  • Highly motivated and able to build close relationships internally and externally to achieve an end goal

  • Educated to NVQ level 2 to 3 in a relevant field or with relevant experience with equivalent qualifications

  • Ideally qualified as an ISO 9001 internal auditor

 

This is a full time, permanent position.

 

Working hours:  Monday to Friday (Mon - Thurs 8.30am-5pm & Fri 8.30am-1.30pm)

 

Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 pa + Quarterly Bonus
