Rainbow Recruitment Services are recruiting for a Bakery Production Supervisor to join their client, an established sweet and savoury bakery in Burgess Hill (West Sussex).

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the motivation and development of the production/bakery team to produce high quality baked goods with the highest level of food safety and health and safety standards in a hygienic environment.

You will be a natural leader, but also be a hands on team player, with experience of supervising staff - ideally within a food production/bakery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and help educate the team to maintain manufacturing quality standards

• Coordinate staff according to production plans and requirements

• Ensure production compliance with all company policies and procedures, ensuring correct training is given

• Report any issues or requirements directly to the Production Manager / Operations Manager

• Effective communication and compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices

• Ensure effective handovers between shifts including team leaders

• Ensure all cleaning is carried out to an accepted level especially between products to prevent allergenic and microbiological cross contamination

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000
